In this learning scenario, students learn to troubleshoot firewall/modem cables and handle internet failures effectively. Using Microsoft HoloLens, the students can share their view with the teacher in real-time, making it easier for the teacher to guide them. Students can use Microsoft Guides to see step-by-step images on how to troubleshoot, making the learning experience more interactive and engaging.
The evaluation feedback received from both trainers and apprentices indicates that the use of AR glasses and Remote Assist app was easy and effective. Participants found troubleshooting modem and internet issues simple and helpful in improving their understanding. Additionally, the apprentice demonstrated a remarkable ability to implement instructions quickly and accurately, and they asked insightful questions.
In this learning scenario, apprentices will learn to check the environmental conditions of a server room effectively. Using Microsoft HoloLens, apprentice can scan QR codes to display the environmental conditions inside the device.
According to the evaluation results provided by both the trainers and the apprentices, the utilization of HoloLens and QR codes was effortless and effective. Apprentices found the visualization of environmental conditions clear and helpful in understanding the server room conditions. Additionally, the students demonstrated an ability to perform the required tasks precisely and promptly while being engaged in the learning process by asking questions. Overall, the apprentice's performance was highly satisfactory, indicating that the learning scenario was successful.
X-Lab offers tailor-made webinars e. g. on IO and how to work with XR (Extended Reality) as well free workshops and demo sessions to test selected educational technologies.
