The Edu-Tech Lab

The Edu-Tech Lab at the VET training school in Pardubice is the hub for innovative training for educational personnel.

The lab will provide technical and pedagogical insights as well as hands-on practices for using smartglasses, intelligent sensors and 360° video in practical training in natural sciences. Visitors can try it out and develop their own materials.

The topics range e. g. from how to use a smart glass? How to integrate in my lesson? How to create my own 360° video?

Learning scenario 1

Learning scenario 1 - AR-Remote assist use in the chemical lab

In this learning scenario a student is remotely instructed by a teacher while carrying out a titration by using the Microsoft HoloLens 2 and the no-code app Remote Assist.

The evaluation feedback showed, that the students was able to follow the instructions of the teacher to carry out the conductometric titration. He also showed the ability to transfer the existing knowledge into lab practice.

Learning scenario 2 - AR Guides use with the Microsoft HoloLens 2 in the chemical lab

In this learning scenario a student carries out a conductometric titration by using the Microsoft HoloLens 2 and the no-code app Guide. The app guides him step by step through the process. This learning path was created upfront by the teacher.

The evaluation feedback showed, that the students was able to follow the instructions of Guides app to carry out the conductometric titration. He also showed the ability to transfer the existing knowledge directly into lab practice. The results show, that this self-directed learning is an engaging and an effective way.

Learning scenario 3

Learning scenario 3 - AR and IoT for wirless XRF Measurement

In this learning scenario a student carries out a conductometric titration and measures the temperature by a sensor. The real-time results are displayed and observed within the Microsoft HoloLens. This saves time to check it. The aim is to visualize the equivalence point. In addition, the actual results of the XRF measurements is displayed in real-time within Microsoft HoloLens 2.

The evaluation feedback showed, that the students was able to carry out the measurements. He also showed the ability to transfer the existing knowledge directly into lab practice. The results show, that this self-directed learning is engaging and effective way.
